In 2029 scientists discover an alien shard — the Quantum Splinter — in Chile's Atacama Desert. It makes intergalactic travel to the Andromeda system possible, opening a temporary corridor every 21 days that carries at most eight biological passengers, with no real-time communication. To keep Earth from being contaminated by whatever comes back, the Moon is built as a giant quarantine checkpoint: glass megadomes, border controls, ration economies, overcrowded slums and a black market running through the tunnel system known as the Helix Works. By 2035 the pressure inside those domes is close to breaking.
Andromeda One is a crime thriller about migration, corruption and survival on the lunar frontier. Agent Frank Banks is sent to the Moon to stop a looming intergalactic war.
